How it started
A problem Simon had lived with for 25 years
As a practising NHS consultant, Dr. Simon Merritt had watched the same problem repeat itself across thousands of first specialist appointments. Incomplete histories. Missing referral details. Patients asked to recount what they'd already told their GP, their receptionist, and their referral letter.
It wasn't a technology problem — it was a workflow problem with a straightforward solution, if someone would build it properly. Simon partnered with Timothy Antos, whose previous company Kokoon Technology scaled to 250,000 users and £15 million in revenue before acquisition by Philips, to do exactly that.
MyPreConsult is the result: a structured pre-visit intake platform built on 25 years of direct clinical experience and a proven track record of building health technology at scale.

Clinicians stay in control
MyPreConsult supports workflow and documentation. It does not diagnose, triage, or make clinical recommendations. Every output is editable, traceable, and subject to clinician approval.
Patient data is never sold or shared
Patient data is never used to train AI models. It is stored in the UK and EU only, processed under strict GDPR controls, and never shared with third parties for commercial purposes.
Built for scrutiny, not just compliance
Certifications are a floor, not a ceiling. We design systems we’re comfortable explaining to a regulator or a procurement lead. Security documentation is available on request — not buried behind a sales call.
